Well it works.......kind of.

So after setting this up, I was pleased to see the familiar old blue screen of my Commodore 64. The 1701 CRT worked well.

I had to admit, my last Commodore 64 was using a PAL TV connected via an RF modulator so hooking up a 1701 CRT was almost foreign to me.

I will own up to connecting the composite jack up at the rear and was getting concerned about getting no picture. The main reason was the connections on the back where for chrominance and luminance, where I have only a composite cable which was on the front. But once I saw the error of my ways I was presented with this

Notice the 1541 lights? Yeah, the drive keeps spinning, that will be something that needs investigating.
